![]() ![]() But what is even greater and more meaningful is when you understand how to apply what you have read to your life. So trust me, I know what I am talking about here. I have read many different inspirational, motivational and self-improvement books since I was 15 years old. But if you goal is small, and the challenges you face is seemingly bigger than your goals, it is going to block your vision of the final goal. Think about you trying to scale a mountain peak and then right after that peak, there is another one behind it. When you dream big, it will make the challenges seem smaller. Though I have yet to reach that final vision/goal that I believe God has blessed me with, every single day, I still feel reminded of just how blessed I am to get to live out my purpose in life, despite of the challenges I am currently dealing with. You will be constantly tested just as I have. In fact, I can quote quite a number of different lessons that you can find from the book itself that attempts to help you "prepare" yourself for those challenges before you even discover your purpose. Here's the reality that you need to be ready for (it might not happen accordingly for you because everybody's challenges can be quite personal and different) - when trying to live out your purpose in life, there are going to be many challenges along the way. Like I mentioned in my previous article, discovering your purpose in life is really just the first step in the real journey - living out your purpose in life. But after awhile, that "feel good" emotion is going to fade away, trust me. For some of us, those emotions are going to last a few days, some can be longer. Trust me, it's one of those moments when you are going to feel really amazing about yourself. When you first discover your purpose, it can be an extremely satisfying, fulfilling, even exhilarating experience. One of the most important lessons I can think of today is about "dreaming big and thinking big". ![]() I couldn't get my hands yet on the latest edition of the Purpose Driven Life media collection (audio books, workbook and so on, so I am just going to stick to the very same one that I bought so many years ago). Although, I would still recommend that you start with the first one, and then you can skip to that particular lesson that most applies to your current circumstances. You can read them in any order that you like. The good news about this series of self-motivation and inspiration articles is that you don't necessarily have to read them in chronological order.
